 \nPapier-maché Baskets      \nStart ettin ready for Easer by makingyour very own baskets!  \n1 Blow upa balloon,knotthe end,and tie a string tothe knot.With a grown-up,make some paste by cook-ing 60g flour with 300 mlwater.Wrap the balloon  \nwith three layers of newspaper strips dippedin the cooled paste,being careful to leave theknot and string uncovered.  \n2 When the papier-maché is dry,pop theballoon and pull the string to remove itfrom its shell.  \n3 Cut off the bottom half of theshell to make the basket.Cutsome coloured paper into a  \n7.5×25cm strip and glue it  \ntogether at the ends.Use this as abase.Cut another piece of paper intoa 2.5×30cm strip.Glue the ends tothe inside top of the basket,andyou've got the handle!  \n4 Next,paint the basketwith poster paint.  \n5 Fill your basket withstraw,then add sugar orchocolate eggs,Easter cards,or a homemade craft likeColoured Streamer Sticks.  \nJoyful Noisemakers        \nPrepare for a joyful and noisy Easter daywith instruments you make yourself.  \nFill a clean plastic fizzy drinkbottle with small pebbles,uncooked rice or pasta.Screwthe top on tightly and shake itlike a maraca.  \nFor drums,decorate emptyplastic ice-cream tubs withgift wrap or favourite stick-ers.Turn them upside downand beat on the bottom.  \nGet eight glass bottles of the same size.Measure2cm from the bottom of the first bottle andmake a mark.Each of the remaining bottlesshould have the mark 2cm higher than the onebefore.Fill the bottles with water up to the lines,and make chime sounds by tapping them withspoons.Now you can play a tune!
