So Joseph and Mary traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem.  \nThere was no guest room available for them in Bethlehem, so they had to stay where the animals slept. Then it was time for Mary’s baby to be born. Mary wrapped her baby with clothsand laid him down in a box where they fed cattle.  \nThat night, while shepherds were guarding their sheep in fields nearby, an angel of the Lord appeared to them. A bright light of the Lord’s glory shone all around them. The shepherds were very afraid!  \nThe angel said,“Do not be afraid! I have good news, which will benefit all people. Today, in the city of David, a baby has been born who will save you from your sins! He is the Messiah, the Lord!
