He and the crew were amazed at the sight of the earth just emerging into view as they rounded the moon, so they snapped a series of photos. \nThe most well-known of these photographs is called Earthrise and has been described as “the most influential environmental photograph ever taken”. It is a rare privilege to see the earth from that distance. People who do see the earth in its wider, cosmic perspective say it changed them in someway or another. \nWhen we see the universe in its grand perspective, we realise how small we human beings are. We can feel insignificant and helpless, wondering if our lives and struggles really matter at all. \nFinding ‘our place’ in the world is a big deal. Finding our place in the universe could feel even bigger but it’s not as strange or difficult as it may first appear. Philosophers, poets, theologians, academics and teachers through the ages have asked the same questions: Who are we? Why are we here? What’s the meaning of life? What is the place of humans in the universe? \nPsalm 8 written by King David has an encouraging perspective on these questions: \n“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? You have made them a little lower than angels and crowned them with glory and honor.” \nHe recognises God’s immense glory reflected in creation; that God has made humans in His image to reflect His glory ina way that no other aspect of creation can. This makes humans significant a","cbCainKfvp4phE4d","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCainKfvp4phE4d","pdf",4557911,56,"English","# Contents\n## From the Chairman\n## From the Principal\n## Academic Journey\n## Creativity\n## Community\n## Camaraderie\n## Lang Syne\n## From the Old Boys’Union President\n## Lang Syne News\n## After Scots\n## Profile\n## Looking Back\n## Reconnecting\n## Vale","[{\"question\":\"What is the main theme of this Summer 2025 issue?\",\"answer\":\"The issue emphasizes developing boys into fine young men through growth in learning, purpose, and faith-driven creativity and dignity.\"},{\"question\":\"Who provides opening messages in this issue?\",\"answer\":\"It includes an editorial message from the Chairman and another from the Principal.\"},{\"question\":\"What sections are listed in the table of contents?\",\"answer\":\"The contents include Academic Journey, Creativity, Community, Camaraderie, Lang Syne, Old Boys’ updates, Profile, Looking Back, Reconnecting, and Vale.\"}]","The Lion & Lang Syne - Summer 2025 - Issue 2 | PDF",1790542994,86]
