chairs with stu-dents wandering around, going toclass if they feel like it,andstudying only when the spirit movesthem.Forget it.Some changes willbe made in an effort to improvewhat is already a good instruc-tional program.Evolutionary pro-gram,yes;revolutionary chaos,no. \n2 U.S.History teachers \nWe are sure that this is not thefinal answer to our educationalproblems. As we evaluate andmodify year by year, the goal isto improve continually on DelNorte's excellence. This, however, depends to a great extent on thestudents. As each student tries touse what talents he has to the bestadvantage, and is constantly con-cerned with improving himself andhis school, all of us will benefit.Any system can only be as good asthe people in it. \nClass favorites for 1966-1967were elected in a contest spon-sored by the staff of Del Norte'sannual, the PAVILION on January \nChris Anison was chosen \"most \n130 students \nbeautiful girl.\"\"Most handsome \ntwo hour period \nboy\"of the year is will be freeto schedule various lengths of per-iods,and various sizes of groupsas they see fit to serve the ed-ucational goal to be attained.Al-though one entire day might be de-voted to one subject, the amountof time spent on each subject willbe equal over a two week period. \nMarcy Levine is Del Norte's \n\"most studious girl.\"Steve Max- \n## GOALS OF PROGRAM\n\nThe seniors also makethe mechanics of school serve ed-ucation,rather than vice versa.By mechanics we mean length oftime for each class session,num-ber of students in each session, materials used(textbooks,per-iodicals,audio-visual aids, etc.),and other means to the end.Themore flexible these mechanics ofthe program can become, the bet-ter the education it is possiblefor the teachers to such. \nFrom the student's standpointwe hope that this will give him anopportunity to make use of his timemore effectively and to get moreout of his education,It will notmean that the work will
