Schedules should be familiar, and classes should be off to a good start. Your family should be in a comfortable place at this point in the school year with your child knowing what is expected of them, and being able to successfully meet or exceed that expectation. \nAs the quarter comes to a close on October 6th, please be aware that this marks the halfway point in the semester and 40% of the semester grade. It is a great time to offer me feedback on what is going well, and an even better time to reflect upon what can be improved upon as the second half of the semester begins. Continuous improvement is always our goal at our school. For that reason, our annual parent conference day is coming up on Thursday, October 19th from 11:00 a. m.– 7:00 p. m. The sign up genius to sign up for conferences is now open, and can be found at: [https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050944A8A728ABFC1-43589264-2023](https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050944A8A728ABFC1-43589264-2023) \n[Please sign up to meet with your child](Please sign up to meet with your child)’s teachers at a time that is convenient for you. \nAs we look forward to the second quarter, I also ask you to encourage your child to get involved. If they haven’t been to an extracurricular activity or club meeting yet this school year, it is time to step out and be part of the larger community that is Alter High School. Please speak to your child about how important it is to join a clu b and become involved in our school – it will only enhance their experience here and round them out as individuals. \nFinally, remember that you are always invited tojo in us to celebrate Mass. We celebrate Mass monthly on the first Friday morning of each month [at 7:30 a. m. in](at 7:30 a. m. in) the Chapel, and our all school Masses occur at least once per month at St. Charles Borromeo Church. Our next all school Mass is on Tuesday, October 17th at 10:10 a. m. There is no better way to get to know our school family than to attend these Masses with us – they are uplifting, encouraging and a beautiful example of the faithfulness of our school. \nWe are fully aware that you have many choices for your child’s education, and we are so blessed that you made the choice of Archbishop Alter High School. We will continue to work hard to ensure that your investment pays off in many fruitful returns. \nWith hope and gratitude, \nLourdes Lambert Principal \nCAMPUS MINISTRY \nWhy Should We Participate in Mass? \nTHE KN IGHT TIMES \nHeather Dunn \nHave you ever been to a concert, sporting event, or show where everyone is just SO into it?! The event where no one can imagine sitting down because the moment is so intense that it requires standing? Or maybe instead of staring at your phone, you can’t help but talk to the people around you and laugh and share in the moment even though they are strangers. While I personally didn’t attend an event like that THIS summer, I have a feeling a lot of people did happen to catch a certain singer’s concert where bracelets, hugs, and a lot of joy was shared. People left there feeling intense feelings of connectedness and happiness. \nWhat makes these events seem so magical and wonderful? I have been to other events where when I went home, I certainly didn’t feel like I was a part of something, or I may have not spoken to a single stranger. I’ve been to sporting events where despite the overall energy of the stadium, my section was subdued and therefore I did not leave with the same elated feelings. While it doesn’t make one event more special than another or “better”, it does leave us with a different feeling. \nThe same phenomenon I mentioned above about a concert or sporting event, I have also witnessed at religious events an","cbCaikUCsrdOLwqA","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaikUCsrdOLwqA","pdf",19104167,22,"English","# Falling into Place\n## Dear Families\n# Campus Ministry\n## Why Should We Participate in Mass?","[{\"question\":\"What does the “Falling into Place” message emphasize for families and students?\",\"answer\":\"It emphasizes that fall schedules and classes should be off to a good start, and that students should know expectations and meet or exceed them as the school year progresses.\"},{\"question\":\"When is the quarter midpoint and what does it affect in grading?\",\"answer\":\"The quarter comes to a close on October 6th, marking the halfway point in the semester and counting as 40% of the semester grade.\"},{\"question\":\"What Mass dates and times are mentioned for upcoming all-school celebrations?\",\"answer\":\"Monthly Mass is celebrated on the first Friday morning (7:30 a.m.), and the next all-school Mass is on Tuesday, October 17th at 10:10 a.m.\"}]","THE KNIGHT TIMES - October 6, 2023 - Dear Families and Campus Ministry | PDF",34]
