\nThis expansion introduces key tokens that representimportant objectsor pieces ofinformation that can be claimed andused during scenarios. \nKey tokens have two sides. When facedown, allseven keys have the same universalkey symbol, sothey can be randomizedwithout the investigatorsknowing which is which. When faceup, each key iscolor coded with a unique color. \nunknown key \nred \nblue \nblack \nwhite \nyellow \npurple \ngreen \nIfascenario uses one or more keys, the setup ofthat scenario indicateshow many are set aside and whether they shouldbe faceup or \nrandomized facedown.Keys canenterplay via several different cardeffects, and they are usually placedonan enemy, location, orstoryasset.Keys can be acquiredin any ofthree ways: \nIfalocation with akey onit has no clues, aninvestigatormaytakecontrol of each ofthe location's keys as a Mability \nIfaninvestigator causes an enemy with akey on it to leave play, thatinvestigator must take control ofeach of the keys that were on thatenemy.(Ifit leaves playthrough some other means, place its keyson its location.) \nSome card effects may allow an investigator to take control of keysin other ways. \nWhenan investigator takes control ofakey, theyflipit faceup(ifit isfacedown)and place it on theirinvestigator card.Ifaninvestigator whocontrols one ormore keys is eliminated, place each oftheir keys ontheirlocation. As an ability,an investigatormay give any numberoftheirkeys to another investigator at the same location. \nKeys havenoinherentgame effect. However, some cardeffects maychange depending on whichkeys an investigator controls.Additionally, keys may sometimes be requiredin orderto progress during ascenario. \n# Food Tokens\n\nThroughout this campaign, scenario cardeffects can flood locations. Each locationhas one ofthree different floodlevels:it is eitherunflooded, partiallyflooded, orfully flooded.Alocation's floodlevelcan betracked using the double-sided flood tokens included in thisdeluxe box.Alocation'sfloodlevelhas no inherent game effect. However, some cardeffects may change orbecome stronger while youare at a flooded location, particularly if that locationis
