The genome sequence has a total length of 450.16 megabases. Most of the assembly (99.15%) is scaffolded into 10 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 16.82 kilobases. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 13 883 protein-coding genes. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. \nKeywords \nColydium elongatum; cylindrical bark beetle; genome sequence; chromosomal; Coleoptera \nThis article is included in the Tree of Life \ngateway. \nOpen Peer Review \n\n| Approval Status | | | |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |\n| version 1 \u003Cbr>view view view view\u003Cbr>05 Nov 2025 | | | |\n\n1.
