Ogden UT 84404 \ngrrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRAAAAAAAAH FINE!! \nIt has come to our attention that the slice-of-life fantasy game Tiny Taverns is somehow missing a fishing minigame. While the guilty parties are relentlessly pursued, we present this guide as a means to rectify the mistake. \nFishing can be represented by utilizing the Hunting minigame on page 184 of Tiny Taverns—just replace “hunting” with “fishing”and adapt from there. However, one can use the following rules if a more thematic adaptation is desired: \nFishing Rules: \nFirst the players establish the details of their fishing trip. Presumingly they have already picked out a spot… \nthe bank of a pond or stream, a small boat on a river, a hole in the ice, or maybe just the edge of the docks. If not, they should seek one out: passing a Test might reveal a good one. \nThen the Game Master sets the scene, and players should describe how their characters \nact. Some might treat fishing as a nice relaxing pastime and approach it as such, lazily resting on the bank with the line nearby. Others may treat fishing as very serious business. \n2 \nPlayers should inject as much personality into their descriptions as warranted, making sure to detail their character’s method and tools. A character’s method is likely tied to their equipment. Fishing equipment can be sophisticated, like rods, reels, and special lures, or more rudimentary, like nets, simple poles, or tied lines. Some might rely on more unconventional means; firing arrows at fish swimming by, trawling the riverbed, tossing freezing potions into the river to trap fish in magical ice, or even diving into the waters to wrestle a fish ashore. Tinkerers may devise inventions and devices that automate the entire process (often getting a little carried away), while Spell Touched characters might try cantripping a few breezers. \nThey can still try without equipment. Panguri traditionally dip their tails into the water and wriggle them to simulate prey, yanking up fish when they bite. Firbolg are famous for simply grasping fish as they swim by. Selkies may have more luck in magical seal form. Let players be creative! \nThe Fishing TesT \nAfter describing their approach, each character attempts a Fishing Test. A Fishing Test represents roughly one hour of “active”fishing. Players may continue to take Fishing Tests, one after the other, devoting as many hours to the pastime as they wish. \nEach Fishing Test is modified as noted below: \n• The character has a Proficiency that increases their odds of success, or is adopting an especially clever method 4 Test with Advantage. \n• The character has a Trait that makes fishing easier 4 Test with Focus. \n• The character is underprepared, lacks adequate tools, or is loud, impatient, or has a Trait or Condition that works against them 4Test with Disadvantage. \nTheGMkeepstrackofhowmanysuccessful Tests each player achieves separately. \nIt is highly suggested that players use the Complication option on page 13 for these Tests. \nUsefUl TraiTs \nSome traits that might mak","cbCaitvSSZZJI5UX","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaitvSSZZJI5UX","pdf",665740,"English","# Fishing Rules\n## The Fishing Test\n## UsefUl TraiTs\n## Success Tally and Results","[{\"question\":\"How long does a Fishing Test represent, and can players take multiple tests?\",\"answer\":\"A Fishing Test represents roughly one hour of active fishing.
