Conclusion………………………………………………………………………………………………………120  \nFOREWORD  \nPaul Rassinier was a French Professor of history and geography who devoted thelast twenty years of his life to a systematic study of one of the most crucial,contro-versial aspects of World War II history:the atrocity question.More specifically thestudy of the claim that the German National Socialist government deliberately exter-minated European Jewry to the full extent it was able to do so before the so-called'Liberation'.  \nFrom 1933 to 1943,Rassinier was a professor of history in the College d'enseign-ement general at Belfort,Academie de Besancon.During the war he engaged in non-violent resistance activity until he was arrested by the Gestapo on October 30,1943,and as a result was confined in the German concentration camps at Buchen-wald and Dora until 1945.At Buchenwald,towards the latter part of the war,hecontracted a species of typhus,which so damaged his health that he could notresume his teaching.After the war,Rassinier was awarded the Medaille de la Resis-tance and the Reconnaisance Francaise.He was elected to the French Chamber ofDeputies but was subsequently ousted by the machinations of the French Com-munist Party in November 1946.At the age of 16,in 1922,Rassinier was very brieflydrawn into the Communist Party by the anarchist,Victor Serge.Because he was aconfirmed,total pacifist he was expelled from the Party.After various attempts atunifying the worker movement along the political lines of Souvarine,and the tradeunion projects of Pierre Monatte,he joined the Socialist Party on the evening ofFebruary 6,1934.Secretary of the Socialist Union of Belfort,he attempted topopularize the pacifist viewpoints of Felicien Challaye,Rene Gerin,Madeleine Ver-net,and Louis Lecoin.He was a Resistant from the first hour of the German Occu-pation and was one of the founders of the 'Libe-Nord'movement.He tried to in-culcate into Resistance movements his non-violent,pacifist philosophy.He was as aresult condemned to death by the Communist faction of the Resistance and receivedthe customary coffin effigy warning.  \nA few remarks here concerning the general importance of a revisionist study ofthe Second World War and the interrelated atrocity question would be in order.Only the alleged urgency of the Hitler menace and the alleged extent of Hitler'sguilt could even begin to justify the enormous losses and the horrible consequencesof the war.Fifty million lives lost,twenty-five trillion dollars spent,half of Europeunder Communist rule,China under Communist rule,vast increases in taxation,government economic controls and the national debt,militarism as a permanent wayof life,the expenditure of one and one-half trillion dollars since 1946 on ‘nationaldefense'to contain our former 'Allie","cbCaiaLPVJAIzGtb","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiaLPVJAIzGtb","pdf",9322361,13,1,131,"English","en",105,"# Contents\n## Foreword by Michael Hardesty\n## Chapter I.
