She believed that helping all of Myanmar’s people, including the poor, was her duty.  \n4  \nIn 1996, Dr. Khin Win Kyu became a volunteer at the Muslim Free Hospital in downtown Yangon.  \nThe hospital gives free treatment to poor people of every race, religion, and ethnicity. A group of wealthy Muslims opened the hospital in 1937 .  \nAt first, all the doctors and nurses were Muslim. Today, the doctors and nurses are Muslim, Buddhist, and Christian, just like their  \npatients.  \nMyanmar’s Muslim community regularly donates to the hospital so it can continue its good work.  \nMore than 20 years later, Dr. Khin Win Kyu still volunteers at the Muslim Free Hospital.
