It outlines practical pre-build and pre-flight precautions, including protective eyewear, ventilation, nearby fire suppression equipment, correct charging practices, and strict limits on where and how to fly. It also covers in-flight risk responses and post-flight checks to reduce fire, injury, crash, and compliance risks.","THE COMPLETE DRONE \nHANDBOOK \nFrom Beginner to Advanced: \nDesign, Build, Fly, Program, and Deploy Modern UAVs \nORION FLUX \n[OceanofPDF.com](OceanofPDF.com) \nTHE COMPLETE DRONE HANDBOOK Copyright © 2026 by ORION FLUX All rights reserved. \nNo part of this book may be reproduced, distributed, or transmitted in any form or by any means, including electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, scanning, or otherwise, without the prior written permission of the publisher, except in the case of brief quotations embodied in critical reviews and certain other non-commercial uses permitted by copyright law. \nCover and interior design by Orion Flux Paperback ISBN: 979-8-249-79987-8 Second Edition – May, 2026 \nFor permissions, corrections, or inquiries, contact: \n[orionflux.author@gmail.com](orionflux.author@gmail.com) \n[OceanofPDF.com](OceanofPDF.com) \nDISCLAIMER \nPlease read this carefully. \nThis book is intended for educational and informational purposes only. I have written it to help you understand how drones work, how to build them, how to fly them safely, and how to use them for photography, mapping, inspection, and other applications. But here is the thing: I cannot anticipate every situation you will encounter. I cannot know your skill level, your local weather, the condition of your equipment, or the laws in your country. \nDrone building involves soldering, wiring, and handling lithium polymer batteries—all of which carry risks of fire, electric shock, and injury. Drone flying involves high-speed spinning propellers, heavy batteries, and the possibility of crashes. If you follow the instructions in this book, you will minimize those risks. But you will not eliminate them entirely. \nYou are responsible for your own safety. You are responsible for complying with all local laws, regulations, and airspace restrictions. You are responsible for the actions of your drone. \nI have done my best to provide accurate, up-to-date information. But technology changes, regulations change, and mistakes slip through. If you find an error, please contact me ([orionflux.author@gmail.com](orionflux.author@gmail.com)) so I can correct it in future editions. \nThe author and publisher assume no liability for any injury, damage, or legal consequences resulting from the use of the information in this book. \nFly safely. Fly responsibly. And enjoy the journey. \n[OceanofPDF.com](OceanofPDF.com) \nSAFETY NOTICE \n READ THIS BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE \nDrones are not toys. I know they look like toys. I know you can buy one for fifty dollars at an electronics store. But a drone with spinning propellers, a lithium battery, and a flight controller that can malfunction is a machine with real potential for harm. \nI have seen a propeller cut through a leather work glove like it was paper. I have seen a LiPo battery swell, smoke, and erupt into flames that melted asphalt. I have seen a drone flyaway caused by a failsafe that was never tested—the drone was never found. These were not bad people. They were good people who made mistakes. They skipped a step. They got complacent. They thought \"it won't happen to me.\" \nIt can happen to you. Here is how to prevent it. \nBefore you build or solder: \n Wear safety glasses when soldering. Solder can spatter. \n Work in a well-ventilated area. Solder fumes are irritating. \n Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when working with LiPo batteries. \n Never leave a charging battery unattended. A LiPo fire can start in seconds. \n Use a fireproof LiPo charging bag. They cost twenty dollars. Your house is worth more. \nBefore you fly: \n Never fly over people. A falling drone can cause serious injury. \n Never fly near airports, helipads, or emergency response operations. \n Keep your drone within visual line of sight (VLOS)— no flying behind buildings or trees where you cannot see it. \n Check your propellers before every flight. Tight? No cracks? Good. \n Check your battery. Fully charged? No swelling?
