My father said he had seen me ina dream even before I was born. What’s your name, little bird?”  \n”I am the Biju bird!” the bird exclaimed proudly. “I come just before the Biju festival and leave right after Biju is over! No one has ever told you about me?”  \nBiju festival: celebration of the first harvest after the first rains of the agricultural  \nseason.  \n“No one told me!” Swabon said grumpily. “My parents are at work all day, you see . I’mat school, and after that, I watch cartoons. Do you know Motu-Patlu?”  \n“No,” said the Biju bird, shaking its head.  \nMotu-Patlu: a popular cartoon in Bangladesh  \n“Oh, it’s my favorite cartoon show!” Swabon said.“Patlu always helps his friend, Motu. Hmm, I know how to help you too. Why don’t you go to the stream to drink water instead of sitting on the branch, Biju bird?”  \nThe Biju bird replied,”If you want to know, follow me, Swabon!”  \nThe Biju bird spread its wings and flew, guiding Swabon along the way. As they came down the mountain path, Swabon stared inawe .
