She had no one to talk to because she lived alone in the fish pond.  \n3  \nOn school days the children would go to the fish pond and watch Poi swimming around and around by herself. Poi was so happy when the children gathered around her pond.  \n4  \nOne Christmas day the head teacher of the school brought a small turtle to the fish pond. She called the turtle Toi.  \n5  \nThe head teacher said to Poi, \"I brought you a friend for your Christmas present.\"  \nOh, fantastic! thought Poi. Another fish to play with.  \n6  \nPoi saw the turtle and was afraid,“What is that? That’s not a fish!”  \nShe was so unhappy.  \n7  \nAs the days passed, Toi the Turtle and Poi the Fish began to get to know each other.
