It details how the White Blood Cells (WBCs), initially unfamiliar with the virus, struggle to fight it, leading to Sam's severe illness and hospitalization. The narrative highlights the learning process of the WBCs as they adapt and eventually overcome the infection, emphasizing the arduous nature of the fight. Following Sam's recovery, the document touches upon the development of a vaccine by scientists using a portion of the virus. It then illustrates a vaccination campaign, with Sam and his siblings, Tom and Susanna, choosing to get vaccinated due to their brother's near-fatal experience. The story underscores the safety and importance of vaccination in preventing severe illness and death from COVID-19, presenting a simplified yet impactful explanation of the immune response and the role of medical advancements.","This is strange! I can't breathe! \nSam is with his brother Tom and sister Susanna. He has been infected with COVID-19 without knowing it. \nHelp ! He can't breathe anymore ! \nCOUGH! \nCOUGH! \nThis is what happens in Sam's body because of the infection: COVID-19 germs invade his body. This invasion is called infection. \nSam's White Blood Cells (WBCs) should fight all germs. But the WBCs have never seen COVID-19 germs. \nAt first, the WBCs don't recognize the COVID-19 germs as enemies. They are therefore powerless against the attackers. \nTHUD! \nHa! Take \nthat! WHUMP!! \nHELP!!! \nHUH ?! \nROOAAR !!! \nOUCH!! \nSam gets very ill. He finds it difficult to breathe. He has to go to hospital and get oxygen. \nOOOOOO! MOAN! \nThankfully, Sam's WBCs learn to fight the COVID-19 germs. They slowly manage to beat them. \nBut it is a long fight! \nTHUD! \nTHUD! \nFinally!! \nGASP! \nPHEW! That's the end of you! \nAAARGH! \nI am so exhausted! \nSam leaves the hospital. But he is very weak. \nScientists take apiece of a COVID-19 germ. They use it to develop a vaccine. \nThe government organizes a vaccination campaign against COVID-19 . Sam, Tom and Susanna decide to get vaccinated. \nYes, it's safer to get vaccinated. \nOur brother almost died from COVID-19 . We've decided we don't want that risk.","cbCaikximIhwZ3jW","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaikximIhwZ3jW","pdf",4890108,1,30,"English","en",105,"# The COVID-19 Infection\n# The Body's Defense\n# Vaccination","[{\"question\":\"What happens when Sam is infected with COVID-19?\",\"answer\":\"When Sam is infected with COVID-19, the virus invades his body.
