But John objected and said,“I need to be baptized by you! So why are you coming to me?”  \nJesus answered John,“This is how it should be, because this is what God wants us to do.” So John baptized Jesus.  \nAs Jesus came up out of the water, the sky opened. Then he saw the Spirit of God in the form of a dove coming down upon him. A voice from heaven said,“This is my own dearly loved Son. I am very pleased with him.”  \nThen the Spirit of God led Jesus into the desert, where the devil tempted him for forty days.
