He was once part of the powerful Snow family but after the war, Coriolanus experienced poverty. He lives with his cousin Tigris and his grandmother. His job is to be a mentor in The Hunger Games but is paired up with Lucy Gray. Lucy Gray is a tribute from District 12 who is part of a band called The Covey. Coriolanus was not satisfied with his assignment but eventually he learns to accept his assignment. It gets to the point where the tributes question why the Hunger Games exist and the history behind it.  \nI found this book interesting as I was able to learn more about Hunger Games history. I did not like Coriolanus’s attitude as his attitude was mostly negative and unrealistic. I was surprised to find out that Coriolanus was going through poverty as his family was a powerful one. It was action packed and full of emotions as there were intense moments in the novel. I also enjoyed how descriptive the author’s writing is which makes the book easy to imagine in your mind.  \nI would recommend this novel because you can learn about the origins of the Hunger Games and how Coriolanus Snow became the character he is in the trilogy. I would also recommend this novel for those who are a fan of The Hunger Games series and would like to dive deep. I think that people who love dystopian and science fiction literature would enjoy this novel as it has all the elements of a dystopia.
