anxieties which have beset His Holiness asthe Supreme Pontiff of millions of faithful of the CatholicChurch.From the start of his reign through the mid-forties his concern was the defense of Christianity againstthe violence of Fascism and Nazism.From the close ofWorld War II to this day his concern has been the pro-tection and rescue of nations which have fallen or areon the verge of falling into the slavery of Communismwhich itself aims to enslave the world.  \nTrue it is that thirteen years is α brief period in  \nChurch history,but these thirteen years have been for  \nthe
