The number of images, histories, and memories that exist within the Black Hills are innumerable. It is my hope that this book sheds some light on the disaster and the recovery that occurred in the Black Hills in 1972.  \nThere are multiple organizations that helped me with the gathering of images and gave me insight into the disaster over the years of research: I want to thank the Rapid City Public Library, as well as Sam Slocum and Krista Licht, for helping me gather and scan images.
