It was a tool that provided me with deep insights into another society more than just reading a book about Thailand. My best experience was the immersion program in Phitsanulok province where I stayed with a Thai family and studied in Naresuan university for 6 weeks during the term vacation. Although speaking Thai on a daily basis in the province was initially challenging, it was definitely rewarding being able to connect affectionately with other people from a different culture and lifestyle. It further developed my love for the language and promised myself that I would continue to maintain my Thai language skills even after graduation. relationships with ICA’s Thai Immigration counterparts. I was fortunate to be employed by the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) where my Thai language skills were put into good use. I had the opportunity to interview Thai travelers and immigration offenders for operational and research purposes. I was also appointed ICA’s Thai Liaison officer with the task of networking and building working. \n-Patrick Ong, Assistant Commander (Coastal Command), Singapore \nElementary Level: Thai 1 and Thai 2 \nIntermediate Level: Thai 3 and Thai 4 \nAdvanced Level: Thai 5, Thai 6 \nHigher Advanced Level: Analysing Thai Media, and Thai for Academic Specific Purposes \nThere are no special entry requirements for the Thai language modules.
