this wasthe year to act upon them.  \nThe District Lectures for Yoboku are cur-rently being held throughout the world invarious districts.Here in the Americanand Canadian diocese,15 districts hosted  \nfrom the boat of...  \nBishop Motoo Matsuda  \nOh,how time flies!The 162nd Year of 16 such lectures where each yoboTenrikyo quickly comes to a close.  \npledged their commitment to maprogress and take action as a responsinstrument of Oyasama.Furthermore,the end of last month,a seminar speciatailored for the advancement of faamong the young people who are entrued to succeed the American and Canadipath was conducted.Renewed convictiand pledges were made by participantsfurther spiritual growth.Once resoluticare made,action must follow to mathem a reality.As soon as action is takeprogress is made.Therein is spiritugrowth.  \nThere is much talk concerning the end ofa century.This concept,of course,is man-made.Certainly,much is also said of theso-called Y2K problem and the unknownhavoc it may cause our computers.Butthis also is manmade,and a very recentone at that.As a member of this civiliza-tion,I can not say such problems haveabsolutely no consequences to me but Iregard such issues surrounding the end ofa century as not of much concern to me.  \nAs a place for shuri-tansei or,\"nurturiand fertilizing\"the followers in this dicese,the construction of the MullPurpose
