Testing dates for Tenafly Public Schools middle school students are listed below. \nSome portions of the NJSLA require students to listen to audio. If possible, please send \nyour child to school with his or her own headphones as students’ own headphones will be more comfortable. Headphones will be provided for any student who needs them. Please note that students are not allowed to bring bluetooth headphones. \nIt is imperative that students arrive at school on time for all test administration days. Arriving late to school may result in your child having to make up a section of the assessment. \nOur Tenafly teachers prepare students for NJSLA assessments. Our curriculum is aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards and our students are regularly presented with the skills and knowledge essential for performing well on these tests. We believe \nthat a strong curriculum, rather than isolated test prep, is the best way to prepare students for all types of assessments. \nReview practice tests are available on the New Jersey Assessments Center webpage should you wish to familiarize yourself with the kinds of questions and format used for the NJSLA. Teachers will review practice tests and tutorials with students in school. \nFor more information about the district’s administration of NJSLA testing, visit my page on our district website. As always, feel free to contact your student’s principal with any additional questions. Thank you. \nSincerely, \nDr. Evelyn Mamman \nAssistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction","cbCaickU2YuxFMDH","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaickU2YuxFMDH","pdf",130016,"English","# NJSLA Assessment Overview\n## Student Preparation Guidelines\n## Testing Procedures and Expectations\n## Resources and Support","[{\"question\":\"What specific assessments will Tenafly Public School students be taking?\",\"answer\":\"Students will be participating in the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) covering English Language Arts/Literacy, Mathematics, and Science.\"},{\"question\":\"Are students allowed to use Bluetooth headphones during the NJSLA?\",\"answer\":\"No, students are not permitted to use Bluetooth headphones; they are encouraged to bring their own wired headphones for comfort, though the school will provide them if necessary.\"},{\"question\":\"What is the district's recommended method for test preparation?\",\"answer\":\"The district emphasizes that a strong, curriculum-aligned education is the best way to prepare for assessments, rather than focusing on isolated test-prep activities.\"}]","Tenafly Public Schools - NJSLA Assessment Notification | PDF",1790807724]
