The schoolis a state-of-the-art facility with four academy labs, Innovation in the BuiltEnvironment, Leadership in Emerging Technology, Future Healthcare Professionals, and St. Johns County Academy of Future Educators. Tocoi is also an AP Capstoneand Early College Program School. \nMission \nVision \n# SCHEDULING PROCEDURES\n\nCourse Registration \nEach spring or upon enrollment, students meet with a school counselor to select courses for the upcomingschool year. Course placement is based on a review of pre- and/or co-requisite courses, current grades, stateassessment scores, and teacher recommendations. \nCourse registration decisions include: \n• Review of core courses \n• Selection of elective options \n• Choice of traditional or virtual model \n• Request for a reduced schedule for seniors and juniors* \n* Reasons to reduce a schedule during the junior and/or senior year include: \no Travel time to DE courses on the college campus \no Advanced schedule – full time college is typically 4 or 5 courses per semester \no Employment or internship \no Medical situation \no Graduation requirements can be satisfied and Algebra I EOC and FAST requirements havebeen met \nSchools will try to schedule all the courses selected by a student; however, the following may affect a student’s finalschedule: \n• If a course is not requested by enough students, that course will not be offered. In this case, every attempt willbe made to select a course from the “alternate selections” list from the student’s course request form. \n• If two selected courses are only offered at the same time, the student can only be scheduled into one of them.Every attempt will be made to use one of the students’alternate selections to replace the unscheduled course. \n• If a student chooses a course that has a prerequisite and the student’s final grade in the \nprerequisite course is not adequate, the student’s schedule will be adjustedaccordingly. \nFor these reasons, it is crucial that the student completes the “alternate selections” section of the course requestform. Please note that if this section is not completed, the student will be scheduled for available electives. \nThe scheduling procedure is to fill openings in courses in a descending order with 12th graders scheduled first, 11thgraders next, etc. This is done to ensure that students closest to graduation meet their graduation requirements. \nStudents should discuss and plan their schedule with their parents. Parents should ensure their student’s plannedschedule reflects the scheduling procedures and courses needed for graduation. \n# SCHEDULE CHANGE PROCEDURES\n\nSchedule change requests may be made using the Tocoi Creek online scheduling change request form. Pleaseunderstand that the school will make final course placement decisions in July after reviewing 2026 State scores andfinal course grades. The final day to request any ELECTIVE change is May 29, 2026, and the deadline for submitting aCORE course level change is July 16th (date subject to change) \nAll students who register for a full-credit course are expected to remain i","cbCaiv9LdxPdHc8N","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiv9LdxPdHc8N","pdf",15634653,2,1,57,"English","en",105,"# SCHEDULING PROCEDURES\n## Course Registration\n# SCHEDULE CHANGE PROCEDURES\n## Schedule Change Requests\n## Course Placement and Instructor Assignment\n# COURSE LEVEL CHANGE\n## Year-Long Course Change Requests\n## Half-Credit Course Change Requests\n## Petitions and Placement Overrides","[{\"question\":\"How do students register for courses for the next school year?\",\"answer\":\"Students meet with a school counselor in the spring or upon enrollment to select courses.
