The map and room descriptions of the Sleeping Giant tavern can be used during encounters with the Redbrands, but everything else here assumes that this gang of ruffians are no more and that the former proprietor (a female dwarf named Grista) put the ramshackle tavern up for sale. \nThis expansion features a detailed look at how to purchase, restore, and manage the Sleeping Giant tavern, including staff, patrons, and various rumors, events, and encounters. \nBackstory \nWhen I played this adventure, my character (a female halfling rogue named Lidda Underbough) paid Gristato take a vacation and leave the tavern unattended. A few game sessions later, a‘for sale’ sign went up on the tavern, and I decided to take advantage of it. Of course, Lost Mine of Phandelver doesn’t require much detail on this tavern—and certainly not enough so one could purchase or manage it—so I decided to write it myself. After some discussion with my Dungeon Master, the final result is what you see here. \nThis expansion was inspired by multiple sources (primarily Lost Mine of Phandelver, the tavern in Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, the business rules in the Dungeon Master’s Guide and in Will Doyle’s Durnan’s Guide to Tavernkeeping, and various D&D-adjacent projects I’ve written for, like Goods & Gear) . \nThe Sleeping Giant \nThe Sleeping Giant tavern, or tap house, sits at the east end of town. Though its former owner left the log frame in a state of disrepair, the old fieldstone foundation is a sturdy relic left over from the town’s more prosperous days. \nA covered wooden porch, bearing empty ale barrelsand a long wooden bench, fronts the tap house. The most popular menu items and their costs are usually scrawled in chalk on a flat piece of slate hung next to the front door, giving new customers some idea of what to expect. However, with Grista gone, some local wag has scrawled a joke better left to the imagination. \nGeneral Features \nThe interior is lit by oil lamp sconces affixed to the walls. There are no windows. All doors are of wood, with iron handles, hinges, and (except for the kitchen door behind the bar) have built-in locks. A single key opens both the front and rear locks of the common room, with a second key opening the cellar door, and a third key for each of the underground chambers. \n1. Common Room \n\n| The wooden door opens smoothly upon the common room—a large open area with simple wooden tables of various sizes and shapes.\u003Cbr>Seating is composed of wooden stools, small crates, and benches both short and long. Another door can be seen in the outside wall to the north. A large stone fireplace sits in the western wall, bits of food on the hearth indicating that orders are sometimes roasted here then delivered directly to the patrons.\u003Cbr>Looking towards the east side of the room one can see the bar, behind which is another woo","cbCaikwNiTEmGhCz","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaikwNiTEmGhCz","pdf",3572996,"English","# Introduction\n# Backstory\n# The Sleeping Giant\n## General Features\n## 1.
