Upon examination, a small bite mark was visible, and the surrounding area was swollen and warm to the touch. However, there were no neurological abnormalities observed in the patient. Initially, the diagnosis was nontoxic snake envenomation, and conservative management was initiated, and the patient was closely monitored. After three days, the patient returned to the emergency department with blackish discoloration over the left foot. Upon examination, the area was no longer warm to the touch and was \nnot tender. The patient had been counseled about post-envenomation tattooing and was asked to follow up. This case highlights the unusual \npresentation of tattooing after snake envenomation and emphasizes the importance of thorough counseling in such situations. \nFigure 1: tattooing over the left foot after a snakebite","cbCaies7MyHFClbF","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaies7MyHFClbF","pdf",718687,"English","# Image in clinical medicine\n## Case presentation and follow-up\n## Key clinical message","[{\"question\":\"What were the initial signs after the snake bite?\",\"answer\":\"A small bite mark with surrounding swelling and warmth was observed, and there were no neurological abnormalities.\"},{\"question\":\"What changed three days after the envenomation?\",\"answer\":\"The patient developed blackish discoloration over the left foot, and the area was no longer warm to the touch and was not tender.\"},{\"question\":\"Why is counseling emphasized in this case?\",\"answer\":\"The case highlights tattooing after snake envenomation, stressing the importance of thorough counseling in such situations.\"}]","Tattooing following snake envenomation | PDF",1790595194]
