Not all the information about Tasha in this document is strictly canon, but is adjusted to work in the context of the adventure “The Wild Beyond the Witchlight”. The collection includes the \ndifferent parts of her history, magic items, and artifacts she owned. In addition, there are books and letters that can be scattered around the adventure to hint at Tasha’s past. \nIn Wizards of the Coast’s “The Wild Beyond the Witchlight” adventure, Zybilna banished some of her emotions into dretches. The emotions she banished are annoyance, loathing, rage, disgust, disdain, maliciousness, envy, and jealousy. The dretches are kept in a nursery in the Palace of Heart’s Desire. These emotions will be the themes displayed in Tasha’s past. \nThe girl that would become one of the most famous witches of the multiverse was brought into the world rather unremarkably, as the third born daughter to a lesser noble and his commoner wife. Though the noble desperately wanted a male heir before his wife’s childbearing years came to an end, she had delivered only daughters. When a third daughter was born, he was furious and refused to give her a name, believing the gods would not protect a nameless child and he’d soon be rid of the additional mouth to feed. When the little girl grew up to be four winters old she started to wander the forest deeper and deeper, Finding comfort in the wild that her hostile home didn’t offer. \nOne day, she stumbled onto a clearing with a curious hut that walked on giant chicken legs. The hut was surrounded by a fence made from human bones, and topped with skulls which shone a dim orange light through their eye sockets while a faint cackling rang through the air. Not knowing the many tales about the Mother of Witches, the little girl ventured inside the weird house, driven by her unending curiosity. She was greeted by a hideous old hag by the name of Baba Yaga. When Baba Yaga saw the little girl, her eyes lit up as she told the little one that she’d make a fine ingredient for dinner. The small girl did not fight or run away, but helped the witch to prepare the cauldron and fire, always telling her that she could be of more use to the old witch. When the time came for the ingredients to be chopped up for the soup, the girl argued that she’d belittle more than a small bite that would hardly fill the witch’s stomach, but she could be of help and show Baba Yaga better, more plentiful meat that would make for stronger broth. The witch agreed to humor her and \nfollowed after the little girl all the way to her parents home. Delighted by the child’s wickedness, Baba Yaga killed the parents and the two older daughters, making a strong broth indeed. She adopted the nameless girl, granting her the name “Natasha.” \nNatasha grew up to be a curious young woman with a terrible kind of beauty. Her skills in alchemy, witchcraft, and especially sorcery increased rapidly. By the time she was 10 years old, little Natasha summoned her first familiar, a quasit by the name of Iggrik; he has not left her side since first being summoned. However, Natasha soon grew impatient. Although Baba Yaga was a creature of legendary power and magic, the hag would not reveal all her secrets and magic to her adoptive daughter. Thus Natasha’s attention was drawn to the material planes of Oerth and its magical artifacts. She settled in the city Loppolla in the land of Ket where she took on the name of Hura. As Hura, she created a stronghold for herself and proceeded to advance her studies in magic, alchemy, and sorcery in isolation, aided only by her familiars and demonic slaves. The young witch gained an ill reputation amongst the pious people of Loppolla for her meddling with dark forces and ruthless experiments to deepen her arcane knowledge. The religious ideals and irrational thinking of the citizens irritated and annoyed Hura more than anything, causing her to draw back even f","cbCaituiKGPmJQ67","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaituiKGPmJQ67","pdf",14886832,"English","# Zybilna’s emotions and the dretches\n# Natasha’s early life and Baba Yaga\n# Natasha as Hura in Ket\n## The Vault of Daoud and its artifacts\n# Flight to Greyhawk and new ambitions","[{\"question\":\"How does Zybilna connect to Tasha’s themes in this backstory collection?\",\"answer\":\"Zybilna banished emotions into dretches kept in a nursery in the Palace of Heart’s Desire.
