The story centers on a young boy named Kiki who is discovered sitting sadly under a tree. To his surprise, the tree begins to speak to him, initially with a smile, which frightens Kiki. The tree then expresses its sadness, revealing that its tears are shed because humans cut down trees. Kiki, moved by empathy, vows to protect the tree and its fellow trees from harm. This act of kindness solidifies a friendship between Kiki and the talking tree. The narrative highlights their happiness in companionship, with Kiki and his family regularly visiting the talking tree to spend their free time conversing. The story subtly conveys a message about environmental conservation and the importance of respecting nature.","Talking Tree \nWriter: Hellen Wambui \nIllustration: Abraham Muzee \nEnglish Story Book \nTalking Tree \nWriter: Hellen Wambui Illustration: Abraham Muzee \nEnglish \nTalking Tree \nWriter: Hellen Wambui \nIllustration: Abraham Muzee \nCopyright © 2016, African Story Initiative \nYou are free to make commercial use of this work.
