fiction;any resemblance to any person, place,or thing, living or dead,is purely coincidental, and notintended. \nBob trudged through W-Mart like a dead man walking. It was the holiday season, just before Xmas when thestores would be closed for a couple of days, and itshowed:the place was jammed with shoppers who \nlooked frazzled and kids who screamed. He was amazedthat the place was still crowed at nearly 11pm,but \nmaybe he shouldn't have really been.Bob wove his waythrough the human chaos to the Bath section. \nIt was blissfully quit there,as not many people werebuying items for the bathroom at that time of year.Bobwas,as he needed a new bathmat \n\"Hot damn!\"he said when he noticed that he had theentire aisle to himself. He poked, pulled, and shuffledthrough an assortment of mats, not seeing much he liked. As much as the idea of pissing on certain cartoon \ncharacters amused him,he didn't want to buy a childish-looking mat for his bathroom. He was a single guy withan image to maintain, after all. \nFinally,after he had gone through a lot of mats, and hishands smelled like cheap rubber,he found one that had aunique geometric design. It consisted of concentriccircles in black lines on a grey background. He thoughtit looked like a crop circle. It was stylish, and the pricewas good.It was also the only one of its kind around.Hetook his find up to the checkout, and after a long wait, paid, then he was released back into the wilds of theparking lot. \nBob went home and put the mat in his bathroom, right infront of the toilet. He was feeling tired,so he decided toget some sleep, since the morning came early, and hehad to work.Climbing into bed,he was asleep inmoments:it had been a long day. \nIt was late at night, exactly 3:00am when Bob's eyessnapped open and he instinctively checked the clock-he couldn't be late for work.Bob was not sure he was \n1 \nseeing the time right at first,as his eyes were unfocusedfrom sleep. But,he quickly rubbed his eyes and double-checked the time.He was not sure what had awoken himat 3AM on the dot,but he knew that he had to pee.Getting out of bed,he heard a noise. He stood still for amoment, listening:was someone there? He didn't hearanything further, but imagined that an alien might bewaiting for him, lurking in the house.Shrugging it off asan over-active,sleep-induced dream-imagination,hecrept to the washroom. \nBob dreaded the mirror,as it continued to reveal thedeterioration of his aging body, though he was only inhis 40's.He averted his eyes from his reflectionwhenever he could. \nBob stepped on the bath mat, thinking again that thepattern looked like a crop circle,or an old symbol.Hedidn't have long to continue wondering about it,as hewas suddenly engulfed in a bright white light andwhisked away. \nHe moved through a long tunnel, through banks of mist. There were flashing lights of different colours, andnoises. The most distinct thing was a feeling of dreadand queasiness in his stomach -like a roller coaster drop. After a few moments,he exited the tunnel and wasplopped down in some kind of kindergarten room.As hesat on the greenish carpeted floor,Bob thought he musthave been still dreaming, and tried to turn over to pullthe blanket over himself. But,all he got was oversi","cbCaitQHeyOCcD2T","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaitQHeyOCcD2T","pdf",2267577,44,"English","# Taken Away\n##
