They noted the importance of supporting Syria’s sustainable recovery, addressing the drivers of fragility and strengthening resilience.  \nDirectors encouraged the one WBG approach in alignment with government priorities. They emphasized the importance of partnerships. They supported the selection of the electricity sector to reengage with the country. They also asked for greater emphasis on capacity building, engagement with civil society, and inclusion in the operation.  \nRecognizing the fiduciary, E&S risks and capacity constraints, Directors asked for close monitoring and supervision.
