century,the Islamic world has been faced by a new en-counter with the West generated by the indus-trial revolution which had followed upon thehatred developed during the Crusades.The firststrike was by an attack of the French.This re-cent challenge resulted in the fall of the Calip-hate,our political system,and the occupationof the lands of Muslims.The West continues toattack us morally and ideologically,giving us,intheir place,their feeble secular substitutes.Moreover,over thirty years ago it managed toattain one of its dangerous aims when it formedthe Zionist state in the heart of the Islamicworld and gave its agents and proteges the con-fiscated power to rule.  \nThis evil plan can be visualized in a chain-like series of inter-related events:The successof the challenge would not be possible without  \nthe establishment of the Zionist state,whichrequires the fall of the Caliphate.The contin-uation of the Zionist entity requires regimes inthe Islamic world to be agents alligned with theneo-colonialist powers.Such regimes are thenatural and logical product of this encounterand are,collectively,one face of the coin ofwhich the Zionist state is the other.  \nEvents appeared to be like this until fouryears ago when the West believed it was direc-ting final,fatal strikes at a supposedly collapsingIslamic culture.Then the Islamic Revolutionin Iran directed its first arrows at the West andachieved the first victory of Islam in the modernage.Life returned to the Islamic body whichthey thought had died.It is awakening andarising from the very region where their sataniceffects were the strongest and greatest.A newera is dawning.We have discovered our ‘selves'.We are arising after two hundred years of humi-liation,after centuries of backwardness and il-literacy.  \nThis is the Islamic Revolution,advancing toestablish many facts,some of which are asfollows:First,removing the sense of fear of thegreat states and powers from the minds of thewhole world,particularly Muslims and other  \noppressed people of the world.Second,bring-ing to mankind our examplary new culturalpattern while putting the western pattern inthe 'defendant's corner'.Rojeh Gharudi,thewell-known French thinker says,\"Khomeinihas placed the western pattern of developmentin the 'defendant's corner”.He further says,Khomeini gave meaning to the lives of theIranian people’.  \nThird,confirming the historic role thatrevolutionary Islam is to play in the lives of thepeople of the region after more than a centuryof Islam being subjected to attempts to dis-place it from power and influence.  \nHowever,does the West and its agents leavethe revolution to itself?They counter-act it andtry to break its spirit.Does it remain silentabout the joy that filled the hearts of the peo-ple just as when rain falls upon the dry earthafter a long period of waiting?And does itallow this longing for Islam generated by theRevolution to continue and spread?  \nThey were struck by the uprising of this
