The Program is funded and operated by the SHSAA, is entirely volunteer-driven, and is free for all students accepted into the Program.\u003Cbr>We are about to begin the third year of this Program, and this year, we will be working with a collection of schools that are predominantly in Brooklyn. We are seeking Stuyvesant High School students and alumni who can be coaches (mentors, tutors, and role models) for the middle school students that participate in the |  |  |\n| Program.\u003Cbr>HOW IS STUYPREP ORGANIZED?\u003Cbr>StuyPrep will be split into two phases this year: (i) a first phase of classroom instruction provided by Kaplan (“Phase One”); and (ii) a second phase of tutoring and mentoring provided by Stuyvesant High School student and alumni volunteers (“Phase Two”) .\u003Cbr>Phase One will be managed by employees of Kaplan, and will take place at three locations that the SHSAA will determine. During Phase One, all the students will be exposed to Kaplan’s standard SHSAT course so that by the start of Phase Two, all students have been introduced to the material at least once.\u003Cbr>Phase Two sessions will take place at Stuyvesant High School, and will be led by our coaches (i.e., you) .
