This will really prepare you for your SACs and exam. \n• Subjects like physics/maths/chemistry calculations make sure you write egs \nExamination preparation – time management: \n• Your diary will help you plan and organise your time. \n• Plan what you would like to do \n• Record/tick the work you have done. \n• Set yourself homework tasks ie revision challenges or a 30 minute revision block \n• Set reminders on your phone ie study English tonight so bring home English work. \n• Set time limits – it is easy to get stuck on one task/subject and not spend enough time on others. So set time limits and stick to them. \n• Ensure you spend an equal amount of time on every subject – regardless of how confident or not you feel for each subject. \nExamination preparation – managing distractions \n• TV, Computer, Ipad and the Internet \n• Electronic devices can be VERY distracting. \n• Limit your time on these devices. \n• Give yourself set times to use them – schedule in your study timetable ‘device time’ as a reward for studying for some time. \n• It doesn’t matter where you study as long as your space is quiet, comfortable and distraction free \n• -clean your desk \n• -only have study support items within reach \n• -try not to move locations each time you study – stay in one spot \nExamination preparation: \n• Mark the examination period in your diary: \no Wednesday 27 October 2021 – Wednesday 17 November 2021 \n• Enter your examinations – time and days into your diary \n• Stick an examination timetable on fridge too in case you need to be driven to school \n• Create a study timetable-create a day that is very similar to a school day. For example 7 periods each day then schedule 7 periods with the same lunch time/recess etc. Schedule dinner time in. Schedule exercise break – walk/run in the day \nExamination preparation – revision strategies \n• Summarise notes/ re-write (not type) \n• write key terms and examples \n• create concept maps of the topic, diagrams/flow charts \n• make cue/study cards for terms and include diagrams if need be (this could be done for tests – then use them again for the exam)–then get family/friends to test you \n• Use mnemonics such as acronyms or acrostics (FPOT –frontal, parietal, occipital and temporal lobes of the brain), create stories etc \n• Test each other \n• Write a booklet of questions/answers and swap with friends \n• Quiz yourself or ask your parents to quiz you \n• Speak aloud and discuss the content \n• Re-do past tests/SACs \n• Write/plan practise essays-ask your teacher if they will mark them but don’t give them to your teacher the night before the exam \n• Go back to the VCAA website and grab old VCE exams (5-10 see patterns)–","cbCaihgxItJOY4lJ","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaihgxItJOY4lJ","pdf",236922,"English","# Study resources and key tests\n## VCAA website resources\n## GAT overview and results\n# Note taking methods\n## Cornell notes\n## Chunking and cue cards\n## Visuals, summaries, and annotations\n# Time management and study planning\n## Diaries, reminders, and homework tasks\n## Equal time across subjects\n## Create a study timetable\n# Managing distractions\n## Device limits and device-time scheduling\n## Study space setup\n# Revision strategies\n## Rewrite and summarise notes\n## Concept maps, cue cards, and diagrams\n## Mnemonics and practice testing\n# Examination tips by question type\n## Multiple choice question components\n## Process of elimination and reading options\n## Short answer and extended responses\n## Essay question approach","[{\"question\":\"How can students use VCAA resources effectively for VCE preparation?\",\"answer\":\"Students are advised to use the VCAA website for study designs and past examinations, and to review old VCE exams to identify patterns, then ask teachers to mark them.\"},{\"question\":\"What are recommended study planning methods for exam time management?\",\"answer\":\"Students should use a diary to plan and organise tasks, record completed work, set reminders, and set time limits to avoid getting stuck on one subject.
