They required to have their equipment fully undercover and to have room to work on the equipment undercover to provide comfort for all staff. They had thoughts of building a reasonable size workshop for a few years and had seen some of our other sheds that we had built and were left highly impressed.
WHEATBELT STEEL’S ANSWER
A (83m x 40m x 9 .9m) structural steel shed with Universal Beam RSJ column construction and Parallel Chord Web Truss rafter construction. Upon measurement our drafting team was able to create a design that included an 83m x 5m Cantilever Awning and tapered gutters along both sides.
CLIENT’S WORDS
“You can go to Wheatbelt Steel with just a sketch or drawing and they’ll come back with better ideas and a cost effective way of doing a shed, and that is a big plus in today’s market because you can save a lot of money in steel with just putting it in the right place instead of it being put anywhere. From the time we signed off on the drawings to the finished product there was never a hassle. It’s a marvellous infrastructure they built for us.”
– Dion Candeloro
CONFIGURATION & DIMENSIONS

| Configuration
Overall Dimensions Bay Spacing Clearance Height | 57m x 40m x 9.9m Enclosed Storage 14m x 40m x 9.9m Enclosed Service Bay 12m x 40m x 9.9m Open Wash Bay 83m x 40m x 9.9m (L x W x H) Varying
8.4m |
| --- | --- |
| CONSTRUCTION | |
| Column Construction Universal Beam (RSJ) Rafter Construction Parallel Chord Web Truss
Steelwork Treatment Hot Dip Galvanised with DuraGal Trusses
CLADDING, GUTTERS & DOWNPIPES | |
| Cladding Profile | Trimdek® |
| Roof Cladding | Zincalume® |
| Wall Cladding | Zincalume® |
| Gutter Finish | Zincalume® |
| Downpipe | PVC Stormwater Pipe |
| CUSTOM FEATURES | |

Doors & Openings 20x 8m high Sliding doors
6x 14m wide Clearspan drive through openings
FERTILISER SHEDS
With a fertiliser shed you have the opportunity to optimise returns by delaying sale of your crop to take advantage of market fluctuations.
