This is a selection of responses we have received from universities. Some provided links to their websites and some provided direct responses to our recognition managers. \nUK \nUniversity of Bath \nLike A levels in the UK, exams have been cancelled and replaced for students studying International A levels through Pearson Edexcel or Oxford AQA. We understand exams will, however, go ahead as planned for students studying Cambridge International A levels in most countries, and where this is not possible because of Government-imposed restrictions (e. g. UK, Mexico) we will accept teacher-assessed grades. \nThe full statement on our approach is available at [https://www.bath.ac.uk/guides/applying-for-undergraduate-study-in-](https://www.bath.ac.uk/guides/applying-for-undergraduate-study-in-)[ ](https://www.bath.ac.uk/guides/applying-for-undergraduate-study-in-)[2021/](2021/) \nBangor University \nBangor University are confident that the exams standard will be upheld and would be more than happy to confirm that Bangor University will continue to accept the Cambridge International qualifications for 2021. \nBrunel University of London \nBrunel will accept the June series grades in the same way as any other series. \nCity, University of London \nCity, University of London confirm that we will accept Cambridge Assessment International Education grades this year in the same manner as last year \nUniversity of Edinburgh \nThe University of Edinburgh will be accepting Cambridge International qualifications in 2021 as normal, and we will treat the grades awarded this year in the same way we would grades awarded any other year. \nFurther information: [https://www.ed.ac.uk/studying/undergraduate/2021/covid-19-updates/disruption-to-2021-exams](https://www.ed.ac.uk/studying/undergraduate/2021/covid-19-updates/disruption-to-2021-exams) \nKeele University \nWe understand the challenges that Awarding Bodies are currently facing and confirm that Keele University will accept Cambridge International grades from the June 2021 series in the same way as we have in previous years. \nLancaster University \nLancaster University welcomes students with Cambridge International A Levels and recognise the qualification as a reliable measure of a student’s knowledge and skills and an indicator of a student’s performance. Lancaster University recognises that 2020-21 has been an extremely challenging year and support the decision to offer exams to students around the world with the option of school assessed grades in countries (and parts of countries) depending on the local situation. \nThe London School of Economics & Political Science \nThe London School of Economics & Political Science will use the assessed (or achieved) grades as the basis of their confirmation decisions (the same as in a ‘normal’ year) \nUniversity of Manchester \nCambridge Assessment International Education has confirmed that every student will receive a final grade for their Cambridge International A-level. There will be three routes and the route will depend on local government regulations as to which is appropriate. \n1) to run exams where safe and permitted; \n2) to introduce extra temporary measures-such as adjustments, exemptions and expanded special considerations- into exam requirements, so as many students as possible can access the exams; \n3) to accept school assessed-grades in the small number of countries, or regions within countries, where directives from national or local authorities mean that exams cannot go ahead, so students can progress to the next stage in their education or employment without delay. \nWe can confirm that we'll accept grades awarded for Cambridge International A-Lev","cbCaigRs6V2fU0nl","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaigRs6V2fU0nl","pdf",494163,"English","# Responses from UK universities\n## University of Bath\n## Bangor University\n## Brunel University of London\n## City, University of London\n## University of Edinburgh\n## Keele University\n## Lancaster University\n## London School of Economics & Political Science\n## University of Manchester\n## University of Nottingham\n## SOAS University of London\n## Teesside University\n## University of Cambridge","[{\"question\":\"What is the purpose of this compilation of responses?\",\"answer\":\"It collects selected statements from universities about their response to Cambridge International’s grading approach for the June 2021 examination series.\"},{\"question\":\"Do universities accept teacher-assessed or school-assessed grades if exams cannot run?\",\"answer\":\"Many responses indicate acceptance of teacher-assessed or school-assessed grades in countries or regions where government restrictions prevent exams.\"},{\"question\":\"How do universities describe the general treatment of grades across different routes or scenarios?\",\"answer\":\"Responses commonly state that Cambridge International grades will be accepted as normal, with some universities explaining multiple routes depending on whether exams can run safely or whether temporary adjustments are required.\"}]","Statements of support from universities in destination countries - 11 May 2021 | PDF",23]
