that demand urgent multilateral action.Persistentinflationary pressures,debt sustainability challenges and the accelerating effects of climate change aredisproportionately affecting developing countries-particularly smallisland developing states(SIDS)andfragile countries -threatening decades of development progress.For many in our constituency,thecombination of climate-related disasters,tourism sector volatility,and rising debt service burdens posessevere challenges to long-term sustainability.  \nGeopolitical tensions and conflicts compound these economic vulnerabilities by reducing trade,deterringinvestment,and undermining development agendas.Our constituency remains steadfast in its unwaveringcommitment to multilateralism and a rules-based international order.The ceasefire agreement in Gaza andthe release of hostages must be a turning point toward lasting peace.We call on all parties to continueimplementing the terms of the ceasefire agreement,including maintaining the withdrawal of Israeli troopsand allowing sustained humanitarian assistance at scale into and throughout Gaza without delay.  \nWe reaffirm our support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russia's illegalwar of aggression,continuing our participation in the international coalition for Ukraine's just and lastingpeace.We commend the World Bank Group(WBG)for its leadership in providing and mobilizing publicand private resources to address Ukraine's urgent needs and laying the groundwork for its reconstruction.Since February 2022,over $81 billion in multilateral and bilateral financial support has been mobilized forUkraine.As part of this effort,Canada recently announced the disbursement of a$200 million contributionto support Ukraine through the World Bank's Facilitation of Resources to Invest in Strengthening(F.O.R.T.I.S.)Ukraine Financial Intermediary Fund.Ireland also announced,in September 2025,additionalhumanitarian and stabilization support of C33.5 million to the people of Ukraine.  \nOur constituency reaffirms its support for the development of the WBG's new Fragile,Conflict andViolence (FCV)Strategy.As extreme poverty becomes increasingly concentrated in countries affected byfragility,conflict and violence,we urge the Bank to deepen its engagement in conflict-affected countries.This should include enhanced collaboration with the UN and Civil Society Organizations to reach allpopulations in need of support.  \nWe welcome the World Bank's renewed focus onjob creation and quality employment as central to povertyreduction and shared prosperity.The future of work is undergoing a profound transformation,and manycountries,particularly in the Caribbean,are grappling with high levels of unemployment
