emerging signs ofaglobal economic recovery.However,we are concerned aboutthe uneven nature of this recovery where there is a strong rebound in advanced economies with manydeveloping countries falling behind due to a slow pace of vaccination and constrained fiscal space to supporta stronger recovery.In this context,we welcome the ongoing support from the World Bank Group(WBG),though its financing and policy instruments,to address the clients'immediate needs induced by thepandemic,while planting seeds for long-term development.We appreciate the$157 billion in new financingcommitments by the WBG to clients in FY21 and thank the staff for its hard work during very challengingworking conditions.We look forward to further elevated support from the WBG in FY22.  \nVaccination against COVID-19 remains the most effective toolto save lives and to revive economic activityin our countries.We continue to be disappointed by the inequity in global vaccines access,with vaccinationlevel in most Sub-Saharan Africa(SSA)countries remaining unacceptably low.We appreciate the WBGprocurement of vaccines for countries under its $20 billion vaccines program and through COVAX andAfrica Vaccine Acquisition Task Team(AVATT).We value the work of the Multilateral Leaders TaskForce in addressing obstacles to vaccines access and call on it to do more in advocating for developedcountries to urgently share doses with developing countries.We view efforts to enhance vaccinemanufacturing capacity in developing countries as important in dealing with the current pandemic andmitigate against future crisis.We welcome the recent funding under the IFC Global Health Platform toAspen of South Africa for vaccine manufacturing and hope for similar projects in other African countries.  \nIn addition to vaccines,developing countries need medical supplies that can be procured locally.We urgethe IFC and MIGA to provide support to micro,small,and medium size enterprises that are engaged in theproduction of healthcare supplies.We also welcome the World Bank's continued support in thestrengthening of healthcare systems,and request more capacity building in the area of procurement,technology and innovation.  \nOur countries face huge financing gaps to continue the responses to the pandemic,while supporting otherpriorities,such as infrastructure for industrialization,public programs for human capital development andpoverty reduction measures.In this context,we support the proposed financing framework of the WorldBank for its green,resilient and inclusive development(GRID)approach.The Covid-19 pandemic,inparticular,has demonstrated the need for high level of interconnectedness in the financial system.Wetherefore call for greater collaboration on the GRID with other MDBs and the IMF through its programs,including on the channeling of its $650 billion SDRs.We call on the WBG to scale up support for privatesector development to revive economic activity and job creation in our countries.As developing countriesrebuild public resources for service delivery and to restore fiscal buffers,we call for more capacity buildingon areas such
