the Development Committee\n\nApril 12,2023  \nWashington,DC  \nFirst,we thank the World Bank Group Board of Executive Directors,Management and Staff for the timelyformulation ofthe Evolution Roadmap,and the progress made thus far in the evolution process.Consideringthe intensity of the multiple challenges that countries are facing,and the immense financing needs to addressthem,it is indeed crucial that our institution adapt and evolve its mission and vision,operational model,and financing model to meet the current needs.  \nAgainst this background,we expect that the WBG Evolution Roadmap will culminate in a bigger and betterBank for all client countries,in a way that it will vastly expand lending to fight the global crises,largely bystretching the bank's existing resources,adopting innovative financing policies,and mobilizing privatefinance.In this regard,we believe that allthree pillars of the roadmap are equally important and interlinked,therefore,the principle of a “one package approach”is critical.The constituency is a member of G11;therefore,we support and acknowledge with the G11 colleagues.  \nIn this regard,I have the following comments:  \nOn Mission and Vision,we note that an important progress has been achieved on the discussion related toenhancement of the WBG vision and mission.We support the proposal to maintain the centrality of thetwin goals ofending extreme poverty and boosting shared prosperity as the WBG core mandate,particularlyas many client countries are facing severe development setbacks.Considering the links between the twingoals and sustainability,resilience,and inclusiveness,we welcome the inclusion of these elements in theMission Statement,along with the inclusion of the economic and social dimensions of sustainability intoour mission objectives.  \nWe concur with the importance of addressing global development issues,but agreement on the definitionand criteria for selection and prioritization of challenges will be essential.Going forward,we believe thatidentifying indicators that align with Country Partnership Frameworks(CPFs)will be imperative to achievethe roadmap objectives.  \nOn Operational model,it is crucial to preserve the demand-led nature of the Country Engagement Model.Accordingly,we are pleased that the WBG's management emphasized that WBG addresses various globalchallenges-including food insecurity,water and energy access,regional integration,digitalization,anddebt sustainability,in addition to the initial three challenges mentioned in the paper which are climatechange,pandemic preparedness,and fragility.  \nWe also call for increased support to ensure the optimal use of Domestic Resources Mobilization(DRM)through effective Public Financial Management(PFM).Consequently,we encourage greater support fordeveloping effective public investment management frameworks and an integrated approach to developinglocal capital markets.Reducing the size of the informal sector will be equally crucial.  \nIn addition,the proposed integrated approach to scaling up private sector development and private capitalfacilitation will rely heavily on
