The Evolution represents a crucial step in addressing the complex global and local challenges faced by all nations. As we confront increasingly intense challenges and escalating financing needs, we recognize the imperative to operationalize the various outcomes of the Evolution. The progress achieved since Marrakech, including enhanced operational efficiencies, the introduction of the new WBG Scorecard, ongoing discussions on two Global Challenges Programs (GCPs), the progress on Knowledge Compact, and the launch of the WBG Guarantee Platform, reflects the Bank’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of developing countries while ensuring a more resilient and responsive development institution. Our collective efforts have resulted in a comprehensive playbook aimed at maximizing the financial performance of the Bank while minimizing risk, thereby enabling us all to better address the global challenges hindering the achievement of our development objectives.  \nWe believe that the Evolution holds immense potential to transform the WBG into a more dynamic and effective institution. Through innovative financing policies and the mobilization of private finance, we are confident that the WBG will maximize existing resources and amplify development impact on the ground. These efforts underscore the commitment of WBG Leadership and Staff to ensuring that resources are optimally utilized to address the pressing needs of client countries and achieve sustainable development goals. Together, we are charting a course towards a brighter future, where we can better fulfill our mission of ending extreme poverty and fostering shared prosperity on a livable planet.  \nWithin this context, we would like to make a few specific comments:  \nWith regards to the mounting situation in Gaza, the global community is witnessing one of the worst humanitarian and development crises in recent history. The scale of destruction, displacement, starvation, and disease is immeasurable, and the loss of development gains is generational. Given this context, we thank the World Bank for the recently completed rapid damage and needs assessment Report, which illustrated initial reconstruction costs of $18.5 billion, equivalent to the total 2022 GDP of both the West Bank and Gaza.  \nIn addition to its direct impact, the war in Gaza also has serious spillover effects on the stability and economies of neighboring countries. Therefore, World Bank Group financial and technical support is critical to contribute to efforts to alleviate the suffering while addressing urgent humanitarian and development needs in Gaza.  \nWe need to remember that both Gaza and the West Bank are being heavily impacted by the Israeli aggression and must not single out Gaza.  \nThe Palestinian Authority is on the verge of financial collapse,
