A key aspect of raising healthy and productive livestock and poultry is implementing effective strategies to mitigate losses arising from diseases. Animal diseases have multiple impacts, affecting farmlevel operations as well as broader trade, welfare, and public health concerns. Endemic diseases primarily impact farms, while epidemic diseases can lead to significant economic repercussions, restricting trade in livestock and livestock products.","cbCainvCOGaXDtxI","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCainvCOGaXDtxI","pdf",5688425,406,"English","# Disclaimer\n## Purpose and scope of the guidelines\n## Professional judgment and responsibility\n## Legal and supervision requirements\n## Living document and future updates\n# Message","[{\"question\":\"What is the purpose of the Standard Veterinary Treatment Guidelines for Livestock and Poultry?\",\"answer\":\"They provide advocacy-style guidance to support veterinary professionals and animal health workers in making informed treatment decisions for major livestock and poultry diseases in India.\"},{\"question\":\"Do these guidelines have legal force as mandatory regulation?\",\"answer\":\"No. The document states it should not be interpreted as legally binding or mandatory regulation, and final clinical decisions rest with attending veterinarians.\"},{\"question\":\"Who developed the guidelines and how will they be maintained over time?\",\"answer\":\"DAHD, Government of India developed the guidelines with support from FAO and USAID.
