They were both Hyrakki, but the resemblance ended there. Raveth wore no armor. His form was tall and narrow, his tail slender, built for endurance and precision rather than force. His skin carried a brown-green cast that darkened along his throat and forearms where circulation lay closer to the surface. Silver eyes, pupils slit vertically, remained alert even as his expression held steady. Layered bonded fabric marked his caste, embroidered with thin geometric patterns that spoke of obligation rather than rank. His hands were bare, dexterous, unscarred.  \nIn contrast, Makrath's armor was fully expressed—matte black and green dermal plates grown tight along his shoulders, spine, and limbs. To other species it read as armor. To Makrath it was simply skin under load: layered tissue adjusting as he moved, compensating for gravity gradientsand mass transfer.
