Ministers of Holy Communion at St.Patrick’s.  \nOn Sunday,May 9,1976,Msgr.Coffey commissioned the first group of Extraordinary Ministers ofHoly Communion for our parish.What began that day as a small but dedicated group has,over thepast five decades,grown into a ministry that has touched countless lives.Since then,hundreds ofparishioners have generously answered the call to serve-assisting at Mass and,just as importantly,bringing the Body of Christ to those who are unable to join us in person:the homebound,the sick,and those in hospitals,nursing homes,and assisted living facilities.  \nThis ministry is one of the most beautiful expressions of what it means to be the Church.It isrooted not only in service,but in love-love for the Eucharist and love for one another.Each timean Extraordinary Minister approaches the altar,they are entrusted with something sacred beyondwords.Each time they carry the Eucharist beyond the walls of the church,they become a livingbridge between our parish community and those who long to remain connected to it.  \nTo all who currently serve,and to all who have served in years past,I offer my heartfelt gratitude.Your reverence,dedication,and quiet faithfulness have strengthened our parish in ways that oftengo unseen,but never unnoticed by God.  \nI would also like to express special thanks to those who support and sustain this ministry in
