Rankings \n26 \nCongratulations Class of 2024 \nFrom the Principal—Mr Allan Guihot \nThe day that the HSC results come out is often about numbers. One could be excused for thinking that the person behind that number is somewhat lost. Yet, the students of the Class of 2024 have, throughout their time at SCAS, displayed a wide range of talents and they graduate with much more than a great set ofATAR numbers. On result day, I am interested in “who” our graduates want to be as much as “what” do they want to do now that they are finished school. \nIt’s a different question which interrogates different outcomes from school—not what was your mark but how did you learn and how do you learn. What competencies have you developed to solve problems, work with others, create new ideas…how are you growing those competencies into dispositions—things you do regularly without having to think about it too much. Our students graduate with a range of educational and cultural experiences, skills and dispositions that have prepared them for the evolving world into which they enter. They have been given an insight into what it takes to be productive, responsible and engaged members of our society and will hopefully each contribute something to make a better world. \nWe think our graduates can do anything they want to do after school! Knowing “who you are” will help determine how effective they are at the what…not the other way round. The attributes we hope they will develop here at SCAS will make them a better scientist, engineer, doctor, tradie, teacher, nurse, computer programmer, pilot, accountant, etc. They are now ready to engage this world through their plans for study, work, travel and service. They leave behind their school days but do not leave our community as we will always welcome news of their exploits, future visits and new learnings. \nOn behalf of the St Columba Anglican School community, I congratulate our Class of 2024 on their hard-earned meritorious results. Their Higher School Certificate results continue the school’s excellent record of academic achievement. The school placed strongly in the HSC Top Schools rankings at 121, placing it clearly at the top of schools in the region and among the top few north of Sydney","cbCairHStYxSBhUU","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCairHStYxSBhUU","pdf",1116834,"English","# Congratulations Class of 2024\n## From the Principal\n## Message of Congratulations from the Head of Secondary School\n## Top ATAR and Regional Results\n## Distinguished Achievers and Major Works Nominations","[{\"question\":\"What does the document emphasize about students beyond ATAR numbers?\",\"answer\":\"It stresses growth in competencies and dispositions, focusing on who graduates want to become and how they learned—not only their marks.\"},{\"question\":\"Which students are listed among the top ATAR achievers?\",\"answer\":\"Murray Cameron-Brown, Ali Ashrafy, Remy Bucton, Mason Bell, Damon Magann, Liliana Clarke, and other named students are highlighted with their ATAR figures.\"},{\"question\":\"How does the document describe the school’s overall HSC result performance for the Class of 2024?\",\"answer\":\"It reports strong placement in HSC Top Schools rankings, a large share of Band 6 results, and multiple subjects achieving top-band outcomes across all students in the top two bands.\"}]","St Columba Anglican School - Congratulations Class of 2024 | PDF"]
