A spinning die for spinning synthetic fibers with atriangular cross section which is characterized by the factthat it has a spinning hole with an equilateral triangularcross section so that an arc is formed where, with theexception of the vertexes of the equilateral triangle, thecenter of each side curves inward at an equal length andcurvature, the length of the straight line segment of eachof the above-mentioned vertexes is 0.1 mm or more and doesnot exceed 308 of the length of the line that connects twovertexes of the above-mentioned equilateral triangle, andthe curvature radius of the above-mentioned arc is within arange of 0.75 to 1.5 when the diameter of the circlesurrounding the above-mentioned equilateral triangle is 1. \n## Detailed Explanation of Invention\n\nThis invention pertains to a spinning die for spinningsynthetic fibers with a triangular cross section. In futherdetail,it pertains to a spinning die for spinning syntheticfibers with a triangular cross section made from a moltenpolymer by the melt spinning method. \nSynthetic fibers can be given a flashing property(alsocalled sparking property)by making their cross section intoa triangular, square, smooth,or Y-shaped cross section. The reason for this is that when this type of cross sectionis obtained, the reflected light and penetrating light aredirectional. Furthermore, this flashing property is \nobtained most easily by using an equilateral triangularcross section. \nNevertheless,the die used for spinning of syntheticfibers with a triangular cross section by conventional meltspinning has a spinning hole that is an equilateraltriangle. When this is used to spin molten fibers, theinside of the fibers becomes deformed due to pulsating \neffects and stickiness because the viscosity of the spinningmelt is high and spinning pressure is high. Therefore, fibers with a cross section that is actually different fromthe spinning hole are obtained. That is,when the spinningdie in Figure l with an equilateral triangular spinning holeis used, the fibers that are spun have a cross sectionsimilar to that shown in Figure 2(micrograph enlarged 300X). As is clear from Figure 2,the spun fibers are arc-shaped where each side of the triangle curves to the \noutside. Flashing properties therefore deteriorate becausethe reflected light and penetrated light are scattered. \nMoreover,it is difficult to carry out dyeing \nprocedures after fibers have been obtained from polymerswith a poor dyeability, such as polyolefins. Therefore, when melt spinning is carried out,the dye is dispersed tothe polymer and colors the fibers. The fibers obtained inthis way show variations in tone and flashing properties. The reason for this appears to be that although there is anatural difference in reflected and penetrated light rayswith ","cbCairBfsLRrHmoB","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCairBfsLRrHmoB","pdf",806884,24,"English","# SPINNING DIE FOR SPINNING SYNTHETIC FIBERS WITH TRIANGULAR CROSS SECTION\n## Scope of Patent Claim\n## Detailed Explanation of Invention","[{\"question\":\"What does the patent claim define for the triangular spinning hole geometry?\",\"answer\":\"It defines an equilateral-triangle spinning hole that forms an arc, where the side centers curve inward equally while excluding the triangle vertices.
