The text moves through themes such as crossing into unknown places, returning grown up, hearing troubling voices, and confronting haunted fears through playful rhyme. Several poems challenge power and blame, while others focus on affection—whether for children, puppies, or cherished moments—using contrast between innocence and darker undercurrents.",{"@graph":69,"@context":122},[70,84,105],{"@type":71,"itemListElement":72},"BreadcrumbList",[73,77,79,82],{"item":74,"name":75,"@type":76,"position":8},"https://docshare.wps.com","Home","ListItem",{"item":78,"name":9,"@type":76,"position":14},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/",{"item":80,"name":15,"@type":76,"position":81},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/literature/",3,{"item":83,"name":65,"@type":76,"position":19},"https://docshare.wps.com/document/spectacular-poetry-something-that-new-read-online-free/323109/",{"url":83,"name":65,"@type":85,"image":86,"author":91,"headline":65,"publisher":94,"fileFormat":97,"inLanguage":63,"description":67,"dateModified":98,"datePublished":99,"encodingFormat":97,"isAccessibleForFree":100,"interactionStatistic":101},"DigitalDocument",{"url":87,"@type":88,"width":89,"height":90},"https://docshare.wps.com/thumbnails/spectacular-poetry-something-that-new-read-online-free/323109.png","ImageObject",300,407,{"name":92,"@type":93},"Ophelia","Person",{"url":74,"name":95,"@type":96},"DocShare","Organization","application/pdf","2026-10-22","2026-09-21",true,{"@type":102,"interactionType":103,"userInteractionCount":44},"InteractionCounter",{"@type":104},"ViewAction",{"@type":106,"mainEntity":107},"FAQPage",[108,114,118],{"name":109,"@type":110,"acceptedAnswer":111},"What POETRY \nSIR RICHARD WILLIAMRUTHERFORD \nhttps://archive.org/details/isbn \n9781514267967 \nSpectacular Poetry bySir Richard WilliamRutherford \nJune,2015 \nDedicated to July and August, two people I know very well;as well as Natasha, who bore me two pups while awayover at some other gals place. \n ir Pichn Wilian putherfor \n2015 \n# Something That New\n\nUndercover,and newer than I knew about,we crossed borders and caves and lands thatwere only spoken of in fairy tales, \nbut when we came back from all this adventuring,we were more grown up than ever. \nDo I regret it?Yes.Do Iknow it?Maybe. How aboutothers?Probably not.You sure?Yeah. \nAnd that is how I came to know about something new.It doesn't matter that someone else had done it before, but that I found out about it for the very first time. And that means the whole world. \n2 \n# Believing In Myself\n\nAcross the ponds andAcross the seas, \nWhere the little people goAnd the little people be,l am following my own wayUntil the day that I can say \nWhen I am becoming more alightIn the feet, and take final flightWithin, then may I pranceOn until I'm in a perpetual trance. \n# Shrilly Voices\n\nHearing the tables turned on me, \nI knew that she was with some other guy, \nand if there was another person there than l oughtto have known, \nfor Sir Richard is many places at once.Having traveled with people, hearing these shrilly voices, knowing that such people existshould've warned me more. \nAs it turns out,I was, didn't heed other peoplesprecautions, and now write this in a bluesomber tone. \n# Bewitched Knights\n\nBewitched knights on bewitched nights \nscare many fraidy cats away from haunted houses, and so that's a bad thing, but on those terribletimes, you know when they spill over and rhymeover to the next page that you're getting whatyou didn't pay for, \nand that's quite an awful lot. \nBut here now, \nI know that if there was ever a case thatwe had together, being a knight myselfof heart if not in shining armor, but I live bythe codes of King Arthur of Camelot, and know that in my deepest desireshave forsworn holy orders to my kingdom, and to protect fair ladies forevermore. \n# Bigger Ideas Made Real\n\nWhen I was young lused to see things in a differentlight, and that was really because I was small,as kids tend to be.But what really got to me washow grown-ups took advantage of us,and our size, \nand picked on us and were sometimes advantageous anddownright condescending. \nNow Sir Richard and other kids back in his time are thegrown-ups,pushing those old folks around in wheelchairs, their current 'death beds',gleefully aware what wecan do or not do, \nbecause it's all within our power. \nBut they, too, were thinking those very same thoughtsat that time of life with their parents, \nand may even have done so with their children. \n# Piggyback Rides\n\nHow happy it is, \nand how happy I am \nwhen one ran back to the other \nwho gave a little gift that was opened \nreally quick, \nthen when it was shown to be a present \nthat all of us could adore, \nwe knew that we all were wishing that it wasus who had this present, \nnot this bully of a town punk who didn't giveanything to the other kids on the block. \nBut that's often how things go,and whilewe played jacks or hip-hipped down the street, there would always be a grey cloud in the skiestelling us of our general mood. \n# Baby Talk\n\nAs little doggies and puppies are adoredthe world over, \nwe talk like they are something other than whatthey really are:babies, and we love them for it, \nfor they cannot say anything back, \nbut merely demand our attention with theirbegging eyes, \nthat would rather play and bite and droolthan look so sweet and innocent behindmasked features.","cbCaikpBVTYAgl8B","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaikpBVTYAgl8B","pdf",1341748,36,"English","# Something That New\n# Believing In Myself\n# Shrilly Voices\n# Bewitched Knights\n#
