We are neutral on the question of whether it is an advantage or disadvantage to have studied A Level Law. It is of our opinion that while it may not place students at muchofan advantage, it does give students a chance to see if law is a subject that they would like to study at university. \nGrey 003 \nIf I achieve AABand have not taken an EPQ will I be accepted onto the programme? \nIt is possible for applicants achieving AAB to be accepted, subject to us having vacant places on the programme and the remainder of the UCAS application being satisfactory. \nLet us know of any extenuating circumstances which may affect your grades before you get your results so that this can betaken into consideration when making our decisions. \nGrey 004 \nShould I continue with four subjects atA Level or drop one? \nA fourth A Level (even in General Studies) is a big plus, especially if you do not quite meet the terms of the AAA offer. If by taking four subjects it means that you will drop down significantly (i.e. by getting BBBB), then it would probably be better to concentrate on only three subjects. We are looking for ability at a high level and it isthe actual grades that indicate this. \nGrey 005 \nDo you accept deferred entry applications? \nYes, we can accept deferred applications for 2017/18 entry. However, we are only able to offer deferrals for one year ahead. \nGrey 006 \nDo you accept retakes? \nWe are willing to consider applicants retaking A Level modules if we think thereis a good reason for under performance at first attempt, and that the student stands a good chance of achieving our standard entry requirements of AAA atA Level. \nGrey 007 \nDo you accept‘returners to learning’? \nWe welcome applications from those who have taken a break from education. You are not required to have the same qualifications as school/college leavers, but must have had recent experience of returning to learning to obtain a formal qualification (e.g. an Access Course) after agap ofat least five years since finishing full-time education. \nWe may require you to attend the Law School for an interview and/or test. \nGrey 008 \nWhat are the tuition fees for 2016/17 entry? \nThe tuition fees for 2016/17 entry are £9,000 pa for Home/EU students and £15,390 pa for International students. \nGrey 009 \nDo I need to do the LNATtest? \nNo. For the time being we have decided not to require LNAT. If you are applying to oneof the dozen or so Law Schools who use the test, you will have to. If you also apply to Southampton, we will not receive your test results and our decisions will not be influenced by your result. \nGrey 010 \nDoes Southampton Law School offer a Qualifying Law Degree? \nOur Law degree is a Qualifying Law Degree. It satisfies the professional requirements of the Bar Council and Law Society of England and Wales. It isSRA (Solicitor Regulation Authority) approved. \nGrey 011 \nHow many applications do you receive? \nDuring most admissions cycles, we receive approximately 2000 applications per year. The annual intake is 196 for Home/EU students and 72 for International students. \nGrey 012 \nDoes the University of Southampton offer any scholarships? \nAs a Russell Group ","cbCailOvTzJjq2Sb","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCailOvTzJjq2Sb","pdf",73905,"English","# What are the general academic entry requirements?\n## What are the excluded A Level subjects?\n## Is A Level Law necessary?\n## Do you accept deferred entry applications?\n## Do you accept retakes?\n## Do you accept returners to learning?\n## What are the tuition fees for 2016/17 entry?\n## Do I need to do the LNAT test?\n## Does Southampton Law School offer a Qualifying Law Degree?\n## How many applications do you receive?\n## Does the University offer scholarships?\n## What careers can I pursue?\n## Why should I apply to Southampton Law School?\n## How much contact time is there?\n## What support do you provide to help employability?\n## What support is available during the programme?","[{\"question\":\"What are the general academic entry requirements?\",\"answer\":\"A Levels require AAA-AAB.
