By using this ability, they could alter their appearance at will, shifting back and forth between their human selves, and their new forms. The media commonly referred to them as ‘weres’. This was primarily due to the fact that these new transformations allowed them to become what others simply called ‘walking, talking animal people’. Of course, in the beginning, a lot of people were afraid, unsure how to treat their new fuzzy friends.  \nBut thanks to the help of a certain someone, the Lion named Skipper, and the bear named Marillon carried on a legacy, offering to help their fellow citizens unlock their true selves through just a little bit of magic. The process itself was surprisingly simple, yet effective. Both of them carried a set of brushes, and paint. The paint itself could be used to create new things out of nothing. Wings, tails, claws, feathers... the possibilities were endless.  \nAmadeus, the master of transformation, had repurposed a rundown building into a little place he liked to call the Toon Clinic. Though the name itself was simply a formality. Everyday, people from all over would get in line for a free consultation, entering one of several possible exam rooms. Afterwards, they’d leave as someone entirely new! Each form was so unique in fact, the Amadeus rarely saw two identical species in the same day.  \nDespite this, there was still a fair number of regular humans roaming the city, coexisting with their neighbors’ were forms without much difficulty. The whole community even banded together to create a welfare agency of sorts, looking to help those who either had trouble adjusting, or found themselves transforming atthe worst possible times.  \nAnd yet, where there is peace, there is always someone ready to disturb it. Not too far from the Toon Clinic was a luxurious spa. Even before the city was struck with transformation fever, the place was always busy, and now, even more so. Those who needed to readjust themselves after transforming came here to unwind. By far the popular for treatment were the hot baths, which worked wonders for the aching body, melting away the pain like butter.  \nA voice rang out in the waiting area one day, followed by a series of snores.“Thomas? Are you present?” No answer.“Tom? Party of one? Hello?” Still, nothing.“Hey, wake up! I ain’t getting any younger here.”  \nTom, who feel asleep in his chair, sat upright immediately. Dropping his wallet on the ground, much to his dismay. He scrambled to pick up his money, while the hare sitting at the desk audibly groaned in disapproval, mumbling something under his breath before Tom walked up to him.“Welcome to the Blossom Creek Spa. We bring relaxation, and professionalism to our clients each day with a discount price! Are you ready to start with your massage?”  \nTom blinked, his eyes glazing over again. It took him a whole ten seconds to answer, sleepily shoving his bank card onto the counter.“Lead the way... I need this more than anything.” The hare made no attempt to hide his grumpiness.“You know, it wouldn’t hurt you to at least try and listen when we call you. There’s a queue here, and if you miss your spot, it’ll be given to someone else faster than you can say-“  \n“Jumping jackrabbits?” Tom asked, poking one of the hare’s long, grey ears. The hare’s face visibly blushed. He clenched his teeth, forcing them into a painful smile.“We’ve got a private spot reserved for you. You’ll be all alone, tucked away in a soundproof room.”  \nTom yawned, not picking up the tone of the message.“So, what do you all do for fun around here?”  \n“What do I do for fun, Tom?”  \n“[Yeah... you](Yeah... you) know, just because you want to?”  \n“I sweep the floors, and scrub the bathroom stalls.”  \n“O-oh.”  \nThere was an awkward silence as Tom entered his room, awaiting his masseuse.
