Students who are planning to apply to university should now register with UCAS, begin completing their application, and start drafting their personal statements. Form Tutors are supporting students throughout this process, and guidance has been shared on Google Classroom this week to help them avoid common mistakes and complete their applications successfully. I have attached the UCAS parents’ guide for your information.
Senior Student Roles-Year 12
We are excited to announce that applications are now open for Senior Student Roles. These positions provide an excellent opportunity to demonstrate leadership, responsibility, and school spirit, while also strengthening future applications for university, apprenticeships, or employment.
To apply, students should refer to their noticeboards, read the accompanying document outlining the roles available and what they entail, and complete the application form.
Cambridge Chemistry Challenge!
Congratulations to Niamh Taylor in Year 12 who achieved a Copper award in the Cambridge Chemistry Challenge! The challenge is set by an experienced team of Cambridge chemists. It is designed to stretch and challenge students genuinely interested in chemistry but deliberately takes them significantly beyond the A-level syllabus-rewarding curiosity, careful reasoning, and effective problem-solving skills!
Year 13 Result Day Procedure and Post-Results Services and Fees
As a reminder please find below a copy of letters we have sent to parents/carers regarding results day procedure. Results will be available from 8.30am to 10:30am in the Sixth Form centre. Please enter the school via the new reception and parents are able to wait for students in the Sixth Form garden:
Results Day Procedure
Post Results Service
Year 13 mocks Jan 5th to Jan 12th
To help with your planning, please find attached a copy of the Year 13 mock timetable.
