doing anything,it is surelypointing up the fact that worship is a dynamic, living reality.Itconstitutes a personal love-relation with God.In this inter-personalmeeting,it is always God who takes the initiative. It is man'sprivilege freely to respond to the loving invitation. And this re-lationship is far from being an individualistic thing. It is perfected—nay more,it is possible only—within graphicallyasserts that it is the liturgy, especially the divine sacrament of theeucharist, which builds up those who are within the Church intoa dwelling place for God in the Spirit, and at the same time showsthe Church as a sign to those outside it. \nThere is an ever-growing consciousness, too, that the Christianlife is more than morals and sentiment;it is constituted by sacra-ment.“Though it(the Christian life)can absorb pietism andmoralism,it certainly cannot be constituted by them.\"If this istrue of the Christian life in general, then a fortiori the religiouslife must be constituted take on a different hue,and also come into clearer perspective. In most,if not in all, religious communities the first step whichhas an official ritual is known as reception. This has,in someinstances at least, become THE ceremony par excellence.Oftenthere is an abundance of finery,an external show n","cbCaiqvGef5HTZdo","https://ap.wps.com/l/cbCaiqvGef5HTZdo","pdf",1940716,52,"English","# Religious
