She turned an appraising look at Manius, then whispered to a scar-faced rogue who stood among five armed retainers.  \n“I am Centurion Titinius,” began Manius in Greek, pitching his voice to reach the thirty odd people who made up his listless audience. “Once, a treaty stood between the Roman Republic and the Parthian Empire, which had laid claim to this territory.
