Clark 6  \n7 SENATE RESOLUTION  \n8 TO RECOGNIZE THE GREG SULLIVAN MEMORIAL  \n9 REGIONAL/STATE LEVER ACTION SILHOUETTE CHAMPIONSHIPS .  \n10  \n11  \n12 Subtitle  \n13 TO RECOGNIZE THE GREG SULLIVAN MEMORIAL  \n14 REGIONAL/STATE LEVER ACTION SILHOUETTE  \n15 CHAMPIONSHIPS .  \n16  \n17 WHEREAS, the Greg Sullivan Memorial Regional/State Lever Action  \n18 Silhouette Championships will be held on May 20 and 21, 2023, at the Benton  \n19 Gun Club; and 20  \n21 WHEREAS, metallic silhouette shooting is a group of target  \n22 shooting disciplines that involves shooting at steel targets representing chicken, 23 pigs, turkeys, and rams at varying distances, seeking to knock the metal target  \n24 over; and 25  \n26 WHEREAS, the three lever action metallic silhouette disciplines shot in  \n27 this championship shall be smallbore, pistol cartridge and cowboy using  \n28 rifles with iron sights fired freehand without support out to two hundred  \n29 (200) meters; and 30  \n31 WHEREAS, the Greg Sullivan Memorial Regional/State Lever Action  \n32 Silhouette Championships is a National Rifle Association approved event and  \n33 will follow the National Rifle Association rules and scoring; and 34  \n35 WHEREAS , marksmanship is important for the promotion of responsible and  \n36 safe gun ownership; and  \n1  \n2 WHEREAS, the Benton Gun Club and its seventeen hundred (1700) members  \n3 have been working hard to prepare for the Greg Sullivan Memorial  \n4 Regional/State Lever Action Silhouette Championships; and 5  \n6 WHEREAS, Greg Sullivan, who passed away in August of 2022, was loved by  \n7 his wife Susan and sons Lex and Daniel, was a Professional Land Surveyor and  \n8 manager of the survey division of Crafton-Tull in Little Rock, was a  \n9 Scoutmaster of Troop 6, and a baseball coach; and 10  \n11 WHEREAS, Greg Sullivan, had a well-known love for precision shooting, 12 competed locally and nationally in various shooting disciplines, mentored  \n13 many shooters in the state, was an organizer and match director at regional  \n14 matches, and was instrumental in the design and expansion of the Benton Gun  \n15 Club, 16  \n17 NOW THEREFORE,  \n18 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE  \n19 STATE OF ARKANSAS: 20  \n21 THAT the Senate recognize the Greg Sullivan Memorial Regional/State  \n22 Lever Action Silhouette Championships to be held May 20 and 21, 2023. 23  \n24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption, a copy of this resolution be  \n25 provided to the family of Mr .
