GENERAL The game will be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R&A Rules Limited and Local Rules of Sembawang Country Club.  \n2.  ELIGIBILITY This event is open to all Members and their golfing family members who are of amateur status, in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Status as promulgated by R&A Rules.  \n3.  ENTRY Registration shall commence within one month from the date of play and closes two weeks prior to the date of play.  \n4.  FORMAT OF PLAY  \na. This is a team event played over 1 round of 9-holes, based on 4 ball Texas Scramble – Strokeplay format.  \nb. The Men will tee off from the white tee box, while the Ladies will tee off from the red tee box;  \nc. Texas Scramble is a form of team competition where 4 players tee off and one drive only is chosen to be used for the next shot, all members of the team place their balls where the chosen drive ended up, and all the team play a second shot from this spot. From these second shots, one is chosen and all play a third shot from there – and so on until the ball is holed.  \nd. Each team returns one score for each hole and the team with the lowest score for the round wins.  \ne. The Team will play with a combined playing handicap / 10.  \n5.  FEES All fees as stated below are subjected to GST.  \na. Continuing members $ 20.00  \nb. Restricted members $ 35.00  \n6.  WITHDRAWAL/ CANCELLATION Any withdrawal or cancellation must be made before the draw list is published. There will be no refund of entry fee after the aforesaid date without a medical reason (medical certificate required) . There will also be no refund, partial or full, should any participants failed to turn up.  \n7.  PRIZES  \nSEMBAWANG COUNTRY CLUB  \na. Prizes will be presented to the top 5 Teams  \nb. Novelty Prizes:  \n􀁸 Longest Drive Men – Hole 1  \n􀁸 Longest Drive Ladies – Hole 1  \n􀁸 Nearest to the Line / Lion Head – Hole 5  \n􀁸 Nearest to the Pin / Snake – Hole 6  \n􀁸 Within the Orange – Hole 9  \n9.  DRAW  \na. All members will be able to form their own flights of mixed gender. Individual sign-ups will be paired accordingly.  \nb. The draw will be conducted after the closing date at the discretion of the Club.  \nc. The results of the draw will be made available on the Club Members’ portal and email blast one week prior to the event.  \n10.  SUSPENSION OF PLAY DUE TO A DANGEROUS SITUATION ORINCLEMENT WEATHER  \na. Suspension of play for a dangerous situation (haze, heavy downpour, poor light conditions, etc. ) or due to inclement weather will be signaled using SCC’s warning siren.  \nb. In the event when a suspension of play occurs, resulting in the inability for the competition to continue, the Club may at any time declare the play abandoned  \nc. The competition will be deemed completed if 50% or more of the players for each divisioni have completed play, and the results will be based on the scores returned (withdrawals are counted as scores returned) .  \nd. Cut-off will be based on daily sunset, Singapore time. The end of game will be signaled by SCC’s warning siren, golfer must stop play and return to the Club house immediately.  \ne. When the NEA 1-hour PM 2.5 concentration reading goes beyond 251, all outdoor activities will be suspended.  \nf. All practice areas that are in open areas shall be closed during suspension of play until the Club has declared them open.  \ng. No rainchecks will be given in the event of a suspension due to the above-mentioned situations.  \n11.  SUBMISSION OF SCORECARD / CLOSURE OF COMPETITION  \nSEMBAWANG COUNTRY CLUB  \na. Players should check their cards prior to submission (at the scoring table or designated area) and ensure that their scores are correct, signed and counter-signed by their marker. Any doubtful points should be resolved with the Club immediately before returning the scorecard;  \nb.
